Junior Network

The mission of The Gut Trust is to inform and help people who live with Irritable Bowel Syndrome by raising awareness of the condition and the issues surrounding it.

As part of this mission, The Gut Trust has set up the Junior Network. It was originally written by Ewan Povall, a sixteen year old, who had suffered with stomach problems for most of his life. Ewan was diagnosed with IBS at eleven years old and since then has wanted to help other young people and their parents, who could be still suffering in silence.

Since the Junior Network launched, we have tried very hard to make sure that we reach out to young people easily which means we try to speak to you how you would like to be spoken to instead of speaking to you how a doctor would.

Did you know that up to 50% of a fart can be made up by Hydrogen alone?

We hope you enjoy using the Junior Network. We're always looking for ways to improve the service we provide, so if you have any suggestions, please drop us an e-mail at: info@theguttrust.org.uk

We think it's very important that parents know what they can do to give help and support to their child with IBS. That's why we've put together a couple of factsheets for parents to learn more about IBS and how it can affect school life.
